Analytical Laboratory Services:

Our scientific expertise in PCR method development and validation and our 'regulatory awareness' are leveraged to deliver a state-of-the-art DNA testing service.

We continually strive to offer a complete, flexible and cost-effective bio-analytical service for:

• the detection of genetically modified organisms (GMO)

• the identification of restricted animal material in stock feed

• the identification of species for food authenticity and safety

• pathogen detection for agriculture, aquaculture and public health

Contract Research and Testing:

We undertake contract research and in particular to development or deployment of new diagnostic assays and SOPs.

Our resources include:

• modern DNA laboratories in a CSIRO precinct

• robotics instrumentation for DNA extraction and PCR reaction set-up

• ABI StepOne Plus (96 well), 7900 (384 well) and Corbett RotorGene (72 well) PCR instrumentation to cater for varying multiplexing and throughput requirements

• PC2 and QC1 facilities

• qualified staff including Senior Scientists (PhD) and Technical staff (BSc)
